Description
Amongst the models for export between 1874 and 1878 Smith & Wesson produced about 60 000 of this splendid .44 Russian for the Czar Empire and both the Turkish and Japanese governments. The Russian also originated from the model S&W N°3 using the main features. The Russian was considered to be the most beautiful pistol of that era.
